Students will be involved in the design of a modular system and the following steps in order to apply them to all sorts of creative solutions. All tools and techniques will be allowed to solve an initial brief specially designed for the workshop. Materials from the final results will be published and shared online with the previous permission of each student. Every student should have a recent mac laptop (intel) and adobe illustrator installed (cs4 minimum)

Para além do estado da arte (apps musicais existentes), e de considerações sobre o potencial e limitações destas superfícies, serão abordadas questões de performance e composição/improvisação em tempo real. É recomendado aos interessados levarem os seus próprios dispositivos.

There are two ways of looking at the goals of this workshop: vocalize graphics or display sounds. Therefore, the workshop aims to explore tools to create a dialogue between Processing (appropriate language for visual output), and Max / MSP (language dedicated to sound creation).

Students should have basic knolege of Processing and/or Max / MSP.
